Retired, Renewed, and Reassigned: Prakasam Welcomes New SP Harshavardhan Raju

Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh welcomed a new Superintendent of Police (SP) over the weekend in an official handover ceremony. Outgoing SP A.R. Damodar expressed gratitude for his 14-month tenure in the district, receiving a grand farewell from police personnel, who expressed their affection through a ceremonial parade, floral tributes, and an open-top jeep procession.

Harshavardhan Raju, the new SP, assured the crowd that his top priorities would be maintaining law and order, curbing crime, tackling cyber offenses, and ensuring the safety of women and children. He expressed determination to uphold the honor of the district named after Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, a freedom fighter and Andrah Pradesh's first Chief Minister. Raju vowed to enforce womens' safety measures and create a crime-free district with no compromise on peace and security.

Raju emphasized that the police would remain accessible to the public and strengthen Prakasam's image going forward.
