Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh welcomed a new Superintendent of Police (SP) over the weekend in an official handover ceremony. Outgoing SP A.R. Damodar expressed gratitude for his 14-month tenure in the district, receiving a grand farewell from police personnel, who expressed their affection through a ceremonial parade, floral tributes, and an open-top jeep procession.

He expressed determination to uphold the honor of the district named after Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, a freedom fighter and Andrah Pradesh's first Chief Minister. Raju vowed to enforce womens' safety measures and create a crime-free district with no compromise on peace and security.

Raju emphasized that the police would remain accessible to the public and strengthen Prakasam's image going forward.
