Nikhil allegedly invited Mythili to his place under the pretence of a friendly meeting. However, things took a terrible turn when Mythili was fatally stabbed by Nikhil following an argument prompted by his closeness with another girl.

According to the police, Mythili, age 22, had just finished her B. Pharmacy and was working in Bengaluru. She had come to Nellore on September 3. DSP P. Sindhu Priya confirmed that the duo had frequent fights, particularly as Mythili suspected Nikhil of being involved with another girl.

Mythili's sister, N. Sahithi, said that she received a call from Nikhil around 3.30 am. He asked her to take away her sister, which she did, only to find her sister lying in a pool of blood. He admitted that he had killed Mythili after an argument and fled. Currently, the police are running an investigation.
