Robbers nabbed after quick police work

Hyderabad police are quick on their feet and nothing demonstrates this better than their most recent achievement in catching a gang of robbers. Less than 24 hours after a shocking robbery in Shankarpally, seven suspects have been arrested.

The robbers had plotted and waited for the perfect opportunity to strike. They knew that Rakesh Agarwal, a local businessman, had sent his manager Saibaba to collect Rs 40 lakh from a client in Vikarabad. Robber Madhu, who knew Saibaba, agreed to let his car be used for the trip, and coincidentally, he was also the driver.

Police believe that Madhu got his friends to help him steal the money and that when Saibaba and Madhu were returning from their meeting, the gang rammed their vehicle into Saibaba's car. Three members then attacked Saibaba, taking the money and attempting to flee. Their vehicle overturned, but the other gang members escaped rescue their accomplice and escape.

Police first arrested the suspect whose car had overturned and searched his vehicle, finding Rs 7.20 lakh on him. Officers were then able to trace and catch the other six, recovering the remaining money and other evidence related to the robbery.

This highlights the quick and efficient work of the Hyderabad police, who worked tirelessly to catch the gang within just 24 hours of the crime.

The police are now investigating the role of each member in the robbery and will be bringing them to trial.
