Hyderabad's New Childcare Hub for Police Families

Hyderabad's City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters in Petlaburj has become a beacon of support for working mothers in the police force with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art childcare center. This initiative, unveiled by City Police Commissioner CV Anand, aims to provide a nurturing environment for the children of women officers, ensuring they can focus on their duties with peace of mind.

The childcare center is a welcome addition to the CAR Headquarters, offering a range of facilities tailored to the needs of young children. It can accommodate a significant number of children, from 150 to 200, aged between 0 and 5 years. The center boasts indoor and outdoor play areas, swings, feeding and medical rooms, and even a dormitory for pregnant women, all under the watchful eye of CCTV cameras. A dedicated kitchen will cater to the children's nutritional needs, ensuring they receive healthy meals. This comprehensive setup is a testament to the thought and care put into the project.

Speaking at the inauguration, Commissioner Anand expressed his pride in this welfare program, a first in his 34 years of service. He emphasized the center's inclusivity, allowing any employee of the Hyderabad City Police, regardless of gender, to enroll their children. This initiative not only supports women officers but also recognizes their valuable contributions to the force and society. The project was made possible through the CSR efforts of MEIL (Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited) and the support of its Director, Pamireddy Ramareddy, who expressed joy in serving the police community.

The event marked a significant step towards improving the work-life balance of police officers, particularly women, and is expected to have a positive impact on their overall performance and morale.
