Ramkumar-Myneni Storm Into Chennai Open ATP Challenger Doubles Final

Defending champions Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni have secured a place in the Chennai Open ATP Challenger doubles final after a thrilling victory over top seeds Ray Ho and Matthew Christopher Romios. The Indian duo, seeded third, edged out their opponents 7-6 (5), 7-6 (8) in a tightly contested match on Friday.

In the final, they will face the unseeded Japanese pair of Shintaro Mochizuki and Kaito Uesugi, who defeated India's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.

Ramkumar and Myneni showed resilience, saving a set point in the second set tie-break before converting their third match point to seal the win.

Singles Action: Top Seed Billy Harris Advances to Semis

In the singles draw, top seed Billy Harris of Britain reached the semi-finals with a 6-3, 7-6 (6) win over Kazakhstan's Timofey Skatov. Despite a strong fightback from Skatov in the second set, Harris managed to close out the match in over two-and-a-half hours.

Harris will now face Sweden’s Elias Ymer, who dominated Japan’s Rio Noguchi with a comfortable 6-2, 6-3 win.

The other semi-final will feature Czech Dalibor Svrcina against France’s Kyrian Jacquet. Svrcina cruised past Ukraine’s Oleksandr Ovcharenko 6-3, 6-0, while Jacquet survived a tough battle against Shintaro Mochizuki, winning 6-1, 4-6, 7-6, after saving a match point.With intense battles in both singles and doubles, the Chennai Open ATP Challenger is set for an exciting finish.
