Telangana Police Embrace Citizen Feedback with QR Code Revolution

The Telangana Police Department is taking a bold step towards transparency and citizen engagement with a unique QR code-based feedback system. In a virtual meeting chaired by the Director-General of Police, Dr Jitender, the department unveiled its plan to gather public opinion on police services, marking a significant shift towards accountability and improved public satisfaction.

This innovative approach involves citizens scanning QR codes displayed at various police touchpoints, including stations and offices. The codes, strategically placed for easy access, provide a direct channel for feedback on a range of services, from petition submissions and FIR registrations to traffic violation e-challans and passport verification. The initiative also includes outbound calls from the Citizen Feedback Call Centre, ensuring a comprehensive feedback mechanism.

The launch event, attended by top police officials, including Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanty and Joint Commissioner D Joel Davis, emphasized the importance of citizen feedback in shaping police services. To promote this initiative, posters have been distributed across all police stations and offices, with each station receiving an initial batch of five posters. The responsibility for their display and the initiative's timely implementation lies with Unit officers and Range IGs.

This technology-driven approach to feedback collection is a testament to the Telangana Police's commitment to modernizing their operations and fostering a more responsive and citizen-centric police force. With this system, the department aims to bridge the gap between the police and the public, ensuring that the voice of the citizens is not just heard but also becomes an integral part of the police's service enhancement process.
