In a powerful display of zero tolerance for harassment, Rachakonda's She Teams have made a significant impact, apprehending 310 men for harassing women and girls in public spaces within just 15 days. This intensive drive, spanning from September 1st to 15th, has shed light on the persistent issue of harassment and the authorities' unwavering commitment to addressing it.

The operation revealed a concerning trend, with 339 complaints received by the She Teams during this period. These complaints ranged from phone harassment to social media abuse and in-person encounters, with 64, 117, and 158 cases, respectively. The data underscores the pervasive nature of the problem, with a total of 181 adults and 129 minors among the offenders. Each offender was counselled in the presence of their families, emphasizing the importance of accountability and education.

Women Safety DCP T. Usha Rani's statement reinforces the severity of the issue, "Harassment in any form will not be tolerated." This sentiment is echoed by Commissioner of Police G. Sudheer Babu, who highlights the proactive approach of the She Teams, who work undercover to patrol public spaces and catch offenders in the act. The teams' efforts have led to several notable arrests, including a man exposing himself near a women's hostel and a married man harassing a young relative.

The fortnight-long drive also focused on education and awareness, with 79 programs conducted to empower women and girls with knowledge of their rights and safety measures.
