The official headshots of Team India players in their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 jerseys were unveiled on Monday, setting social media ablaze. Fans noticed the word ‘Pakistan’ imprinted on the jerseys, as per ICC's tournament regulations, leading to widespread discussions online.
India’s Champions Trophy campaign begins on February 20 against Bangladesh in Dubai, followed by high-profile matches against Pakistan (February 23) and New Zealand (March 2). Due to the hybrid model, India will play all its matches in Dubai instead of traveling to Pakistan.
The team will be missing key pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled out due to a lower back injury. Young fast bowler Harshit Rana has been drafted into the squad as a replacement, while spinner Varun Chakravarthy has also been included following strong performances in the T20I series against England.
Bumrah has been absent from international cricket since January, when he sustained an injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Despite efforts to recover, he was unable to regain full fitness in time for the tournament.
Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal, initially part of the main squad, has been moved to the non-traveling reserves after struggling in the ODI series against England. His poor batting performance led to his exclusion from the playing XI, making way for Virat Kohli and debutant Varun Chakravarthy.

With India gearing up for the much-anticipated tournament, all eyes will be on their performance in Dubai, especially against arch-rival Pakistan.
