In a series of swift actions, the Hyderabad police have brought two separate cases to light, showcasing their commitment to justice. The Jubilee Hills police have arrested two more individuals in connection with the misappropriation of Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques, totaling a staggering Rs. 8.71 lakh. This recent development follows the earlier apprehension of 10 individuals implicated in the same scandal.
The investigation, led by Detective Inspector Satyanarayana, revealed a sophisticated scheme. The mastermind, Jogula Naresh Kumar, had access to CMRF cheques through his employment in a minister's office. After the BRS government's defeat, Naresh seized the opportunity to possess 230 undistributed cheques. He then identified 19 cheques that had not been claimed and, through forgery, deposited them into fraudulent bank accounts.
In an unrelated case, the city's police have also booked K.A. Paul, founder of the Praja Shanti Party, for sexual harassment. The charges, filed at the Panjagutta police station, include inappropriate touching, sending abusive messages demanding sexual favors, physical assault, stalking, and online monitoring. The victim, an employee of Paul's, provided compelling evidence, leading the police to register an FIR and initiate a thorough investigation.
These incidents underscore the Hyderabad police's vigilance in addressing financial fraud and safeguarding citizens' rights. As the investigations unfold, the public awaits further updates, confident in the police's ability to bring justice to light and ensure the safety and security of the community.
