Vijayawada Gears Up for Dasara: Major Traffic Changes Ahead

The upcoming Dasara festival at Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada, scheduled from Monday to October 2, has prompted the NTR district police to implement significant traffic diversions, ensuring smooth travel for all. With thousands expected to attend the festivities, these measures aim to manage the influx of vehicles and prevent potential congestion.

In a well-planned strategy, vehicles traveling from Hyderabad towards Visakhapatnam will navigate a new route, bypassing the city's core. The path will lead them through Nallakunta, Chinna Avutpalli, and Hanuman Junction, ensuring a seamless journey to their destination. Simultaneously, those heading from Hyderabad to Machilipatnam and Hanuman Junction will take an alternative route via the west bypass, avoiding the city center. This diversion aims to reduce traffic pressure on the main roads.

The diversions are not limited to Hyderabad-bound traffic. Vehicles from Hyderabad destined for Guntur and Chennai will embark on a journey through Narketpalli, Nalgonda, and Piduguralla, bypassing the usual routes. Additionally, travelers between Visakhapatnam and Chennai will experience a scenic detour via Ongole, Chirala, and Bapatla, offering a unique coastal drive.

As Dasara approaches, Vijayawada's roads will witness a carefully orchestrated dance of vehicles, guided by these strategic diversions. With heavy vehicles also facing temporary restrictions, the city's traffic management team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a safe and efficient festival experience for all.
