The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act provides legal teeth to this new strategy, allowing authorities to trace, freeze, and forfeit properties linked to the illicit drug trade. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Crime Branch has been instrumental in integrating financial investigations into NDPS cases, marking a departure from the traditional focus on arrests and seizures.
