As a white Gypsy and a motorcycle approached, the occupants' suspicious behavior led to a swift response from the authorities. The individuals abandoned their vehicles and fled into the nearby forest, but a dedicated search team comprising 22 personnel from the Assam Rifles and NCB pursued and captured them.

A subsequent search revealed the reason for their hasty retreat: 67.26 kg of methamphetamine tablets, a highly addictive and valuable drug. This substantial haul, with an estimated street value of Rs 53.8 crore, highlights the scale of the drug problem in the region. The drugs and suspects were transferred to the NCB for further investigation and legal action.
