The 22-year-old pacer is undergoing rehabilitation for a lumbar stress injury sustained after his T20I debut against Bangladesh in October 2024. Currently, he is recuperating at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and has recently resumed bowling activities.

Mayank's meteoric rise in the cricketing arena was marked by his consistent ability to bowl at speeds exceeding 150 kph.
