Sachin Tendulkar Relives Cricketing Glory as India Masters Clinch First IML Title

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar led the India Masters to victory in the first-ever International Masters League (IML) 2025, securing a dominant six-wicket win over West Indies Masters in the final at Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium. The tournament brought back nostalgic memories as legendary players showcased their timeless skills.

India’s Commanding Performance

Batting first, the West Indies Masters posted 148/7 in 20 overs. Dwayne Smith gave a strong start, but India’s bowlers kept the opposition in check. Shahbaz Nadeem’s economical spell (4-0-12-0) and Vinay Kumar’s three-wicket haul (3-26) played a key role in restricting the West Indies.

In response, India Masters chased down the target in 17.1 overs, scoring 149/4. Ambati Rayudu led the charge with a match-winning 74 off 50 balls, earning him the Player of the Match award. Tendulkar, opening the innings, set the tone with a classic upper-cut shot that thrilled fans, reminiscent of his prime days.

Tendulkar’s Nostalgic Celebration

Following the win, Tendulkar shared his excitement on social media, calling the India Masters team “C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S.” He described the tournament as a journey back in time and expressed gratitude to his teammates, organizers, and fans.

A Tournament to Remember

The IML 2025 final was a thrilling spectacle, packed with memorable moments. The legendary rivalry saw competitive cricket, with moments of intensity, including a brief on-field exchange between Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best. However, the sportsmanship and camaraderie among cricketing greats shone through.

The success of the inaugural IML 2025 has set the stage for future editions, promising more high-energy clashes featuring cricket legends. The tournament served as a celebration of the sport’s rich legacy, giving fans a taste of cricket’s golden era once again.
