The war on drugs has reached new heights at Bhubaneswar's Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), where Customs officials recently made a significant seizure, intercepting a shipment of marijuana worth a staggering Rs 3 crore. On Saturday, the Customs department's vigilance paid off when they discovered 3.2 kilograms of marijuana during a routine cargo inspection. Three passengers from Uttar Pradesh were detained in that operation. The airport's enhanced scrutiny of international cargo and passenger traffic has led to these successful interceptions, disrupting the operations of drug syndicates.
