CM Naidu Unveils Tech-Savvy Market Hub

In a move to empower local businesses and showcase technological innovation, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the Smart Street Bazaar at Mypadu Gate Centre in Nellore on Friday. This cutting-edge market hub, a Rs 8.4 crore project, boasts 200 shops, each a testament to the fusion of commerce and technology.

The bazaar's first phase will see 120 shops spring to life within 30 containers, with each shop a hub of entrepreneurial spirit. The project's funding structure is as innovative as its concept, with each shop benefiting from a Rs 4 lakh investment. Of this, Rs 2 lakh is jointly contributed by the municipal corporation and MEPMa, while the remaining Rs 2 lakh is offered as a low-interest loan, ensuring accessibility and support for budding entrepreneurs.

Urban Development Minister P Narayana, who inspected the site, received a warm welcome from the women entrepreneurs whose dreams are becoming a reality. His personal commitment to the project is evident, as he has provided Rs 1 lakh to each of the 120 beneficiaries under the P-4 scheme from his funds. Responding to opposition criticism, Narayana sets a clear vision: "My goal is to make it a success and set a national benchmark."

The Smart Street Bazaar is not just about commerce; it's a technological marvel. The area is equipped with CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi connectivity, smart public address systems, and modern lighting, all seamlessly integrated. This project is a pilot initiative, with similar ventures planned for five municipalities, potentially revolutionizing local business landscapes and setting a new standard for market infrastructure across the nation.
