In a significant acknowledgment of the Revenue Department's indispensable role in society, District Judge Gokavarapu Srinivas emphasized their impact on the nation's Per Capita Income (PCI) during the inauguration of the 10th Revenue Sports and Cultural Meet at the Anam Chenchu Subba Reddy Stadium in Nellore. The judge highlighted the department's multifaceted responsibilities, from managing natural disasters and conducting population censuses to issuing land pattas and facilitating land acquisition.

The event served as a platform to celebrate the department's contributions, particularly their crucial role in saving lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Judge Srinivas advocated for the importance of organizing such events to alleviate the mental and physical stress faced by revenue employees in their demanding roles. The Collector of Nellore, O Anand, shared his personal experience, having participated in similar events during his tenure in East and West Godavari districts.
