In a significant move towards sustainable development and farmer welfare, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled a state-of-the-art bio-ethanol plant in Nellore district, marking a new chapter in the region's agricultural and economic landscape. This 340-crore project, a brainchild of the Chinta Sasidhar Foundation, promises to revolutionize the way the state supports its farmers and contributes to India's green energy goals.

The Chief Minister, impressed by the initiative, praised it as a farmer-centric green endeavor. The plant, occupying 24 acres, boasts a daily captive power generation capacity of 200 kilolitres, with the primary objective of producing grain-based ethanol. This ethanol will be supplied to oil marketing companies, aligning with the Government of India's Ethanol Blending Programme. Mr. Naidu's presence at the inauguration underscored the project's importance and its potential to transform the region's agricultural sector.

Chinta Sasidhar, Chairman of the Vishwa Samudra Group, revealed that the group's investment in socio-economic initiatives at Nandha Gokulam amounts to 450 crore, with the bio-ethanol plant being a significant part of this investment. The plant is expected to have a substantial impact on the local economy, employing 250 people directly and over 300 indirectly. By processing agricultural feedstock into ethanol, the facility will not only support farmer incomes but also contribute to India's ethanol blending targets.

The event also witnessed the opening of the Nandha Gokulam Life School and the Nandha Gokulam Save The Bull Cause, emphasizing the foundation's commitment to education and animal welfare. With local politicians and officials in attendance, the inauguration marked a significant step towards Andhra Pradesh's agricultural and economic growth, showcasing a unique blend of private initiative and government support.
