In the aftermath of a tragic blast at a cracker unit in Savaram village, which claimed seven lives, the Nellore police have launched a swift and comprehensive crackdown on illegal firework operations across the district. This decisive action, led by SP Dr. Ajitha Vejendla, aims to prevent further disasters during the upcoming Deepavali festival.

The police conducted surprise inspections, targeting manufacturing units and storage godowns, resulting in the registration of four cases in Indukurpet, Vidavalur, and Kandukur. These locations were allegedly involved in the illegal production and storage of crackers, posing a significant threat to public safety. She also encouraged the public to play an active role in reporting illegal activities, assuring anonymity to those who come forward with information.
