Drug Trafficking Duo Nabbed in High-Speed Chase

In a dramatic display of law enforcement coordination, a multi-agency operation in Chester County has led to the arrest of two suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of a significant cache of illegal substances and firearms. The operation, which took place on Friday, involved a high-speed vehicle pursuit, a foot chase, and the execution of multiple search warrants.

The pursuit began when Nicholas Dooley, driving a vehicle containing a substantial amount of narcotics, attempted to flee from a traffic stop. The car chase ended near the scenic Rocky Creek bridge on SC Highway 97, where Dooley's vehicle crashed, and he continued his escape on foot. However, the quick response of the Chester County Sheriffs Deputies ensured his capture. Inside the wrecked car, authorities discovered a staggering 165 grams of suspected fentanyl, 12 grams of MDMA, and a Taurus Judge firearm. Dooley now faces a litany of charges, including drug trafficking and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Simultaneously, search warrants were executed at various residences in the Great Falls community, resulting in the arrest of Korey Tavaris Bailey. The search yielded a substantial haul of illegal substances, including 355 grams of cocaine, 37 grams of crack cocaine, and 10 grams of fentanyl, along with multiple firearms. Bailey's charges include trafficking in various drugs and possession of weapons, with the added severity of a prior conviction for domestic violence.

Sheriff Max Dorsey's statement underscores the seriousness of the situation: "My tolerance for drug traffickers and violent felons is zero, especially those with multiple convictions." This operation highlights the ongoing battle against drug trafficking and the importance of inter-agency collaboration in ensuring public safety. As the suspects await their fate in the Chester County Detention Center, the community can take solace in the knowledge that their streets are a little safer.
