Police and Security Forces: United in National Defence

In a powerful display of unity and coordination, the Border Security Force (BSF) Director General, Daljit Singh Chawdhary, praised the collaborative efforts of police and security forces during Operation Sindoor. Speaking at the passing-out parade of the Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers in Hyderabad, Chawdhary highlighted the crucial role of the police in times of national challenge.

The IPS probationers, standing tall at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, were reminded that their role extends far beyond the boundaries of a single institution. Chawdhary emphasized that the security of a nation is a collective responsibility, as demonstrated in operations like Sindoor, where the police, armed forces, and central armed police forces worked in unison. This coordination is a testament to the strength of India's security apparatus and the trust it fosters with the people.

As the new IPS officers embark on their careers, Chawdhary outlined the diverse challenges they will face. From countering terrorism and extremism to tackling cybercrime and financial fraud, the responsibilities are vast. The BSF DG urged them to lead with courage, compassion, and an unwavering sense of justice, treating all with equality. He emphasized the importance of technology as a tool but stressed that trust is built through human connection and service.

With the police station as the vital link to the public, Chawdhary encouraged the officers to strengthen community ties, ensuring their leadership is reflected in every interaction. This grassroots approach, he believes, will solidify the credibility of the police service in the eyes of the nation.
