The victim, a 32-year-old man from Malakpet, was lured into a web of deceit by a woman named Tanya Sharma, who initiated contact via a dating site link. Tanya's friendly approach and the promise of a friendship group seemed appealing, especially with the relatively small fee of Rs 1,950. However, this was just the beginning of a well-orchestrated con.

As the man engaged with Tanya, two more women, Priti and Ritika, entered the scene, further enticing him with offers of companionship. They manipulated his emotions, requesting payments for various services, including hotel bookings, meeting arrangements, and even privacy security. The man, unaware of the scam, willingly transferred significant amounts to multiple bank accounts, totaling Rs 6,49,840.

The Cyber Crime police have issued a warning to the public, emphasizing the need for caution when dealing with unsolicited calls or messages on social media and dating platforms. They advise against paying any fees for friendship or marriage arrangements, especially when requested through unofficial channels.
