New York, USA – During the 78th UN General Assembly, Dr. Tasneem Shariff focused her advocacy on two core Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8). Leveraging her experience as a service partner to T-Hub and her role in promoting MSMEs, she detailed practical strategies for achieving these targets in emerging markets.
Dr. Shariff argued that entrepreneurship must be viewed as a critical component of education, providing the practical skills and innovative capacity needed for sustainable economic upliftment. She suggested that diplomatic initiatives should prioritize educational exchanges, especially in vocational and technological training, as a means to build self-reliant communities. Her goal is to ensure that The Diplomatic Club’s global network is utilized to fund and facilitate projects that create sustainable employment opportunities and foster an innovative culture aligned with the 2030 Agenda.
