Explosive Twist in AP Liquor Scam: Kasireddy at the Center of ₹4,000 Crore Fraud?

A storm is brewing in Andhra Pradesh’s political corridors as the alleged liquor scam under the previous YSRCP government continues to unravel. What was once dismissed as mere political noise is now turning into a full-blown scandal, with shocking revelations coming to light. The man at the heart of this controversy appears to be Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy, a Telangana-based aide of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Kasireddy was appointed as an IT Advisor soon after Jagan came to power, but insiders claim he had little to do with technology and was instead deeply involved in orchestrating a massive liquor syndicate. The scam allegedly funneled over ₹4,000 crore, much of which is believed to have been laundered and invested in various ventures across Telangana.

Recently, Andhra Pradesh police conducted multiple raids on properties linked to Kasireddy in Hyderabad. Key documents were seized, pointing to a network of illegal financial transactions and business investments, including a film production house named ED Creations. However, in a move that raised many eyebrows, Kasireddy and some close family members, including his in-laws, managed to escape before the raids—prompting speculation of insider leaks and political shielding.

Despite being served multiple notices, Kasireddy has refused to appear before investigating agencies, claiming he has no involvement. This defiance, coupled with his strategic absconding, has only deepened public suspicion.

Sources also suggest that large sums from the scam were routed through shell companies, later used to fund real estate and hospitality ventures in Hyderabad and even parts of Bengaluru. Political observers believe this could be just the tip of the iceberg, with potential links to other influential figures yet to surface.

As public pressure mounts, the TDP-led government is being urged to fast-track the investigation. For now, the people of Andhra Pradesh wait for justice, wondering just how deep the rabbit hole of the liquor scam truly goes—and how long Kasireddy can outrun the law.
