YCP’s Shadow Network in TTD? Bhumana’s Shocking Revelation Raises Eyebrows

A startling statement by former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has triggered widespread concern and political chatter. Speaking to the media recently, the YSRCP leader claimed that his party still maintains a stronghold in TTD despite the administrative change that came with the formation of the new NDA-led Andhra Pradesh government.

Karunakar Reddy revealed that over 2,000 “Nighaa Netralu” (watchers or internal informants) loyal to YCP remain embedded within the TTD staff, keeping the party informed about internal developments. “We still have eyes and ears everywhere in TTD. Nothing escapes us,” he stated, implying that YCP’s influence hasn’t waned in one of India’s most prestigious temple administrations.

This remark has sparked debate and unease, especially as it closely follows his previous allegations about over 100 cow deaths at the Tirupati Goshala due to TTD’s mismanagement—a claim that TTD officials firmly denied. His latest comment is now being seen as an indirect warning to the current board and the NDA government, suggesting YCP still has access to sensitive information within the temple ecosystem.

Political analysts believe this public declaration of a well-placed internal network is not only unprecedented but also concerning. Such a claim hints at ongoing surveillance within a sacred and autonomous institution, raising serious questions about administrative integrity and political interference.

Meanwhile, calls are growing for the TTD board to conduct a thorough internal audit and enforce stricter confidentiality in decision-making. Experts warn that identifying and removing such “planted informants” may be a near-impossible task, but stronger data protection, departmental restructuring, and loyalty checks could be the first step forward.

For an institution revered by millions, the idea of being used as a political battlefield is not just controversial—it’s dangerous. Whether the NDA government will act decisively to neutralize this shadow network remains to be seen.
