Hyderabad's bustling Pipe Line Road in Jeedimetla is set for a significant transformation with the construction of a new steel bridge. This development, while promising improved connectivity, has prompted temporary traffic restrictions and diversions, impacting daily commuters and local businesses.
The bridge construction, which commenced on November 3, has led the police to implement strategic diversions to maintain traffic flow. The congestion is expected to affect several routes, with round-the-clock diversions in place. Traffic from Gajularamaram, Shapur Nagar, and Rangabhujanga headed towards Suchitra and Kompally will face diversions at Sai Kanta Junction, with alternative routes through Ayodya Nagar Junction and Subash Nagar-Dulapally Industrial area, respectively. Motorists from Mayuri Bar are advised to turn towards Subhash Nagar or take a detour via ILA to reach Jeedimetla Road.
The advisory also highlights complete closures on specific routes. Pipe Line Road is off-limits for heavy vehicles at the Home Lane shop near Pista House, and the road is entirely closed at Mayuri Bar T Junction towards Pipe Line, Jeedimetla Road. These closures are necessary for the bridge construction, located 200 meters away from the junction.
As the bridge takes shape, commuters are urged to heed the traffic advisories, follow signboards, and cooperate with traffic personnel. This collaborative effort ensures the safety of the public and workers and facilitates the efficient progress of this infrastructure project. With careful planning and adherence to the guidelines, the temporary inconvenience will give way to a more robust and streamlined transportation network in the area.
