Telangana Police's Modernization: Training, Safety, and Support

The Telangana Police are taking significant strides towards modernization and community engagement, as evidenced by a series of recent developments. On Monday, Director General B. Shivadhar Reddy laid the foundation for a specialized training facility, the City Training Centre (CTC), in Medipally, marking a new chapter in the state's law enforcement capabilities. This centre, constructed with support from Divis Laboratories Limited as part of their CSR initiative, will offer advanced training programs for police officers, particularly in handling technology-related crimes.

Mr. Reddy emphasized the importance of such training centers in each district to enhance police preparedness and bring policing standards in line with modern challenges. He also highlighted the alarming rise in road accidents, advocating for a proactive approach through the Arrive, Alive awareness campaign, scheduled for December. This initiative aims to educate motorists on defensive driving techniques, fostering a culture of responsible driving.

The DGP's commitment to community safety was further underscored by the inauguration of the Bharosa and Command Control Centres in Saroor Nagar. These facilities are designed to provide women facing adversity with a safe haven, offering legal counselling and comprehensive support. The Bharosa Kendras, as part of this initiative, will play a crucial role in empowering and protecting women who have fallen victim to various crimes.

The day's events culminated in a show of gratitude and collaboration between the police and private sector, with Rachakonda Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu expressing appreciation for Divis Laboratories' support. This partnership exemplifies the potential for public-private cooperation in addressing societal challenges, paving the way for a safer and more resilient Telangana.
