Nellore's Future: A City Transformed

In a significant move towards urban development, Nellore is set to undergo a remarkable transformation. The Municipal Administration Minister, Ponguru Narayana, has pledged to spearhead the city's growth, starting with a series of infrastructure projects. On Monday, Minister Narayana laid the foundation stone for a road construction project at the Sunday Market and under-bridge road works at the Atmakur Bus Stand, with a substantial investment of Rs 1 crore.

The Minister's commitment to expediting these projects is evident, as he announced that the under-bridge road will be completed within a swift 45-day timeframe, ready for inauguration on December 31. This rapid development is just the beginning, as Narayana also unveiled plans for an additional one-way road at the same location, with the foundation stone to be laid on the same day as the under-bridge road's inauguration. This second road is scheduled for completion by February 2026, further enhancing the city's transport network.

Narayana also addressed the issue of encroachment at the Sunday Market, emphasizing that the removal of silt from irrigation canals is crucial for effective drainage during the rainy season. He appealed to traders to consider the public interest when establishing their businesses, ensuring that the city's infrastructure can accommodate their needs without compromising essential services. With the presence of Municipal Commissioner Y O Nandan and other officials, the event marked a significant step towards a more organized and developed Nellore.

The Minister's assurance of a comprehensive development plan for the city is a promising sign for residents and businesses alike, who can anticipate a more efficient and modern urban environment in the near future.
