CHUNAUTI 3.0 Aims to Enhance Digital Accessibility for All

On February 10, 2022, the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), introduced the Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) through its new initiative, CHUNAUTI 3.0. This program is designed to foster digital transformation by supporting startups focused on developing accessible and inclusive technology solutions.

CHUNAUTI 3.0 aims to revolutionize digital accessibility by backing innovative startups, especially those in Tier-II cities. It seeks to empower these startups to create groundbreaking assistive technologies that promote usability and inclusivity across various domains. The initiative is open for applications until March 10, 2022.

The NGIS, a collaborative effort involving MeitY, STPI, MSH, STPINEXT, and numerous industry, academic, and funding partners, is set to establish a top-notch incubation ecosystem. It targets 12 Tier-II cities, including Agartala, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mohali, Patna, and Vijayawada. The scheme is set to support 300 startups over three years, with 129 startups already selected under CHUNAUTI 2.0.

Startups participating in this scheme are eligible for financial benefits, including up to ₹25 lakh in seed funding, monthly stipends, and access to comprehensive mentoring, networking, and market connections. Each location will have a chief mentor and a pool of experts to guide and support the startups.
