STPI Collaborates with Six Entities to Enhance Start-up Ecosystem

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has entered into six key partnerships to bolster the start-up ecosystem across India. These agreements, established with Bank of Baroda, YES Bank, MathWorks, YourStory, Freshworks, and Pontaq, aim to support and nurture start-ups within STPI’s 28 Centres of Excellence (CoEs) focused on emerging technologies like IoT, blockchain, and big data.

STPI Director General Dr. Omkar Rai emphasized the importance of these collaborations in accelerating start-up growth as part of a broader initiative under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The partnerships will help provide comprehensive support to incubated start-ups by leveraging industry expertise, academic knowledge, and financial resources.

Through these MoUs, STPI aims to address challenges faced by start-ups by offering mentorship, access to technological tools, and market connections. This initiative is expected to drive innovation and help transform ideas into market-ready products.

Each partner brings unique resources to the table. For instance, MathWorks will provide start-ups with access to its software tools, while YES Bank and Bank of Baroda will offer banking solutions and support for fintech innovations. Pontaq will manage an investment fund to support early-stage tech businesses in India, aiming to fuel growth and success within the start-up ecosystem.
