In a significant move to bolster the agricultural sector, the second phase of the PM-Kisan Annadata Sukhibhava financial assistance programme was launched at Gottlooru village, Dharmavaram Rural mandal, with a grand ceremony. This event marked a substantial step towards empowering farmers in the region, with a combined effort from central and state governments.

The ceremony was graced by Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav, Hindupur MP Parthasarathi, TDP leader Paritala Sriram, and Janasena State General Secretary Chilakam Madhusudhan Reddy, who all emphasised the importance of this initiative. Minister Yadav highlighted the central government's commitment, stating that over Rs 3.7 lakh crore has been directly transferred to 11 crore farmers in 20 instalments over the last decade. This impressive figure was further augmented by the recent release of Rs 18,000 crore as the 21st instalment from Coimbatore. Despite financial constraints, the Andhra Pradesh government, under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has demonstrated its dedication to farmer welfare. The Annadata Sukhibhava scheme is a testament to this, providing an additional Rs 14,000 to farmers, complementing the central government's contribution of Rs 6,000, resulting in an annual benefit of Rs 20,000.

The event's speakers underscored the significance of this financial aid, with MP Parthasarathi pointing out that three-quarters of India's population relies on agriculture, making farmer support a constitutional imperative. The timely assistance allows farmers to invest promptly after the first rains, ensuring a productive agricultural cycle. The political leaders present also used the platform to highlight their respective parties' contributions to farmer welfare, with TDP's Paritala Sriram citing the Super Six welfare initiatives and the prompt implementation of PM-Kisan Annadata Sukhibhava.

This initiative promises to have a far-reaching impact, fostering a sense of security and prosperity among farmers, which, as Jana Sena leader Madhusudhan Reddy noted, is integral to the state's overall progress.
