Massive Drug Bust: Multi-City Raids Target Nigerian Cartel

In a sweeping display of inter-agency collaboration, a joint operation by EAGLE Telangana and the Delhi Crime Branch has led to the arrest of over 50 Nigerian nationals and a significant disruption of a drug trafficking network. This meticulously planned crackdown saw 124 officers from the Eagle Force and 100 Delhi Crime Branch personnel execute simultaneous raids at 20 locations across Delhi and three other cities.

The operation targeted a Nigerian drug cartel with a widespread reach in Delhi's southern and western neighborhoods, including Mehrauli, Sant Garh, and Prithvi Park. The enforcement teams, comprising various ranks of officers, focused on dismantling the distribution networks and drug dens operated by these groups. The raids resulted in the detention of individuals involved in drug trafficking and the seizure of an undisclosed amount of narcotics.

The success of this operation can be attributed to the exceptional cooperation between the Delhi Crime Branch and local police forces in Greater Noida, Gwalior, and Visakhapatnam. This collaborative effort enabled the arrest of a drug kingpin and several others, including women allegedly involved in drug sales and sex work, and individuals responsible for managing mule accounts for money laundering.

EAGLE officials praised the coordination and emphasized the importance of such joint operations in tackling organized crime. They also encouraged the public to actively participate in the fight against drug-related activities by providing information through dedicated channels, ensuring confidentiality and offering rewards for credible tips. This multi-city raid highlights the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in addressing cross-regional criminal networks.
