Andhra Ministers Defy Rain, Deliver Pensions to Thousands

In a remarkable display of dedication, Andhra Pradesh's ministers braved heavy rains to personally distribute social security pensions to beneficiaries across three districts in the South Coastal region. On Monday, the ministers embarked on a mission to ensure that the NTR Bharosa pensions reached the elderly and vulnerable, undeterred by the adverse weather conditions.

The Minister for Endowments, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, exemplified this commitment by visiting each beneficiary's house in the Gandhi Janasangham Tribal Colony, Sangam mandal, despite the downpour. He emphasized the government's support by highlighting the pension amounts, ranging from 4,000 to 15,000, and the substantial funds allocated for the district and constituency.

The distribution drive was not limited to one area. Dr. Ponguru Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, interacted with pensioners in Nellore city, reiterating the state's commitment to providing financial aid. The Minister for Energy, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, also joined the initiative, going door-to-door in Yeleswarapalem, Mailavaram Gram Panchayat, to hand over pensions. He later distributed free bicycles to students, a testament to the government's focus on education.

The eventful morning concluded with Minister for Revenue and Tirupati District In-charge Minister Anagani Satya Prasad's assurance that the government's efforts are long-term. He stated, "Nearly 51,000 crore has been distributed across the state in the last 17 months, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to the welfare of our people." This massive pension distribution drive, despite the challenging weather, sends a powerful message of the government's resolve to support its citizens.
