Hyderabad Gears Up for Presidential Visit: Traffic Plans Unveiled

Hyderabad is preparing for a high-profile visit from President Droupadi Murmu, with the city's traffic authorities implementing strategic measures to ensure smooth and secure travel for the nation's head of state. From December 17 to 22, commuters can expect temporary disruptions and diversions as the presidential convoy traverses the city's roads.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have meticulously planned these measures, as outlined in an advisory issued by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis. During the President's official engagements, specific routes will witness brief halts or diversions, impacting various junctions and roads. On December 17, the Hakimpet Air Force Station Y Junction to NCC route will experience a temporary pause in vehicular movement, allowing the presidential convoy to pass. Similarly, on December 19, a brief morning restriction will affect the Bison Signal to Alugaddabavi stretch.

The advisory further details a two-phase diversion on December 20, covering a more extensive route from Bison Signal to Road Numbers 45 and 65, including key areas like Begumpet, Panjagutta, and Jubilee Hills. The final days of the President's visit will also see traffic adjustments, with the Begumpet flyover and several junctions like CTO, Tivoli, and Karkhana experiencing temporary restrictions.

To ensure minimal inconvenience, the traffic police have urged citizens to plan their travel and stay informed. The department's helpline and social media platforms will provide real-time updates, ensuring commuters can navigate the city with ease during this exceptional period. As Hyderabad welcomes the President, these traffic arrangements demonstrate a commitment to both security and citizen convenience.
