Hyderabad's Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has issued a bold directive to tackle the evolving criminal landscape: a Zero Delay response policy. In a high-level meeting at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre, Sajjanar addressed the challenge of criminals exploiting technology and jurisdictional boundaries. He urged officers to transcend administrative limits, ensuring that police stations and commissionerate boundaries do not hinder swift action. The core principle is clear: the nearest police team to a crime scene must respond without delay, regardless of jurisdiction. This approach is a direct response to the growing concern of offenders committing crimes in one area and quickly slipping into another, taking advantage of jurisdictional confusion.

The meeting also addressed the need for a unified approach to traffic regulation, with key decisions made to ease congestion. This includes synchronized signal timings, coordinated action against private travel buses, and joint drunk-driving checks. The three commissionerates, led by Sajjanar, Cyberabad CP Avinash Mohanty, and Rachakonda CP Sudheer Babu, are committed to functioning as a single force.
