Hyderabad Traffic Rerouted for Skywalk Construction

Hyderabad's bustling roads are set for a temporary makeover as the City Traffic Police implement strategic diversions to accommodate the construction of a Skywalk at Rythu Bazar in Mehdipatnam. This three-day operation, from December 19 to 21, promises to be a test of both urban planning and commuters' patience.

The focus of this logistical challenge is a two-lane stretch between Rethibowli Junction and SD Eye Hospital, which will be closed to facilitate the Skywalk's construction. Anticipating the inevitable traffic snarls, the police have urged citizens to steer clear of the PVNR Expressway stretch from Pillar No. 40 to Pillar No. 1, suggesting that congestion will ripple out to surrounding roads and junctions.

Motorists have been offered alternative routes to navigate this temporary maze. Those traveling from Attapur to Banjara Hills are advised to detour via Rethibowli, Nanal Nagar Junction, Film Nagar, and then to their destination. Another suggested route takes vehicles from Attapur to Nampally through Gudimalkapur, Yadav Bhavan, Mehar Cafe Junction (with a right turn), Asif Nagar, and Mallepally.

For those heading from Tolichowki to Nampally or Lakdikapool, the journey becomes more intricate. They are directed to veer off at Nanal Nagar Junction, traverse through Balika Bhavan and Laxmi Nagar, and then take a U-turn at Pillar No. 57 to continue their journey.

As the city braces for these temporary changes, the Traffic Police's helpline stands ready at 9010203626, offering assistance to ensure that travel disruptions are minimized. This proactive approach to managing urban development is a testament to Hyderabad's commitment to balancing progress with the daily lives of its citizens.
