Hyderabad Traffic Rerouted for Skywalk Construction

The bustling streets of Hyderabad are set for a temporary makeover as the city's traffic police implement strategic diversions to accommodate the construction of a new Skywalk. This three-day operation, from December 19 to 21, will transform the roads around Rythu Bazar in Mehdipatnam, requiring careful navigation by commuters.

The Hyderabad City Traffic Police have thoughtfully planned these diversions to ensure the safety of citizens and the smooth flow of traffic during the Skywalk's civil works. The focus area is the road segment between Rethibowli Junction and SD Eye Hospital, where two lanes will be closed to facilitate construction. Anticipating potential congestion, the police have urged the public to steer clear of the stretch between Pillar No. 40 and Pillar No. 1 of the PVNR Expressway.

Motorists are being guided towards alternative routes to minimize disruption. Those traveling from Attapur to Banjara Hills are encouraged to detour via Rethibowli, Nanal Nagar Junction, Film Nagar, and then to their destination. Similarly, drivers heading from Attapur to Nampally can opt for a route through Gudimalkapur, Yadav Bhavan, and Mehar Cafe Junction, before turning right towards Asif Nagar, Mallepally, and Nampally.

For those navigating from Tolichowki, the journey to Nampally or Lakdikapool will involve a diversion at Nanal Nagar Junction, passing through Balika Bhavan and Laxmi Nagar, and then taking a U-turn at Pillar No. 57 to continue their journey. This comprehensive rerouting strategy aims to ensure that, despite the temporary inconvenience, commuters can reach their destinations efficiently.
