Political Unity Paves Way for Nellore's Long-Awaited Bridge

In a rare display of political harmony, leaders across party lines gathered in Nellore to lay the foundation stone for the Pottepalem Bridge, marking a significant milestone in the region's infrastructure development. This event symbolizes the culmination of a 2530-year-old dream and a three-decade-long wait for the local community. The bridge, expected to be completed within 18 months, will span the Pottepalem Kaluju Spillway of Nellore Tank, addressing transportation challenges and frequent road accidents that have plagued the area.

Nellore MP, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, emphasized the bridge's impact, stating that it will bring much-needed relief to lakhs of people. The project's realization is largely attributed to the dedication of Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, who has been instrumental in securing the required funding of 9 crore, despite the state's financial constraints. This commitment to development was echoed by Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prasanthi Reddy, who highlighted the bridge's benefits for nearby villages and the ease of access it will provide for devotees visiting the Jonnawada Temple.

The ceremony also served as a platform for MLA Sridhar Reddy to announce another bridge project across the Mulumudi Kaluva, with construction set to begin by the end of February. This rapid development in infrastructure was celebrated by the TD district president, Beeda Ravichandra, who praised Sridhar Reddy's leadership and long-standing dedication to public service. The day's events concluded with the inauguration of the VPR Amrutha Dhara Water Plant, further emphasizing the region's progress and development.
