Hyderabad Traffic Rerouted: Elevated Corridor Construction Causes Diversions

Hyderabad's bustling streets are set for a significant transformation as the city's traffic police implement a strategic rerouting plan to accommodate the construction of an elevated corridor. This development, spanning 60 days, will reshape the daily commute for many. The project, stretching from Malakpet Fire Station to Yadagiri Theater, has prompted the Hyderabad Traffic Police to devise a comprehensive diversion strategy, ensuring smooth traffic flow during this transitional period.

The plan involves closing the road segment between Saidabad Y Junction and I.S. Sadan Junction, with a specific focus on the Dobhighat stretch. Motorists are advised to steer clear of the Nalgonda crossroads to Owaisi Hospital route, anticipating congestion. Instead, a well-crafted detour has been designed for vehicles traveling from Nalgonda crossroads towards Saidabad Y Junction, bound for Santosh Nagar and I.S. Sadan. This route takes drivers through a series of strategic turns, including the DCP South East Zone office, Saraswathi Nagar, and Sankeswar Bazar, before reaching their destinations.

Two and three-wheeler riders heading from Chanchalguda to Saidabad Y Junction, whether bound for I.S. Sadan or Champapet, will also face diversions. These routes take them through various landmarks, including the Saidabad Law and Order police station, Ramalayam Kaman, and Laxmi Nagar, ensuring they reach their intended destinations. The Hyderabad Traffic Joint Commissioner of Police, D Joel Davis, has urged citizens to familiarize themselves with these diversions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the prescribed routes for a seamless travel experience during this construction phase.

As the city prepares for this temporary shift in its traffic patterns, residents and commuters alike are advised to stay informed and plan their routes accordingly to navigate the changes efficiently.
