Bengaluru's Drug Bust: Foreign Nationals' Arrest in Rs 1 Crore Haul

In a significant drug enforcement operation, Bengaluru's police have dealt a substantial blow to the city's narcotics trade, seizing a substantial stash of illegal substances and arresting two foreign nationals in the process. The narcotics control unit of the Bengaluru police's CCB (Criminal Investigation Department) conducted two separate raids, leading to the recovery of drugs worth nearly Rs 1 crore.

The first raid, in the JEIS Layout area, resulted in the arrest of a foreign national for supplying hydro ganja. The police confiscated 481 grams of hydro ganja, worth an estimated Rs 48 lakh, along with related paraphernalia. In a swift follow-up operation, officers arrested another foreign national in the K R Puram area for cocaine distribution. This raid yielded 101 grams of cocaine, valued at approximately Rs 50.6 lakh, along with a mobile phone and a two-wheeler used in the illicit trade.

The total haul from both operations included drugs, mobile phones, and two-wheelers, with a combined estimated value of around Rs 1 crore. This successful operation highlights the police's commitment to curbing the drug trade in the city. However, the nationality of the arrested individuals remains undisclosed, leaving a lingering question mark over the international reach of the drug network.

As the investigation unfolds, the public awaits further details, and the police continue their efforts to combat drug-related crimes, ensuring the safety and well-being of Bengaluru's residents. This case serves as a stark reminder of the pervasive nature of the drug trade and the need for vigilant law enforcement.
