In a strategic move to address this pressing issue, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has appointed several young IPS officers to key traffic management roles, signalling a shift towards a more dynamic and efficient approach. The transfers and postings focus on the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri Police Commissionerates within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, as well as the newly formed Future City Police Commissionerate. The officers chosen for these roles have a proven track record of field experience and success as Additional Superintendents of Police in various districts. Avinash Kumar, Kajal, S Seshadrini Reddy, and Kankala Rahul Reddy are among the officers entrusted with the critical task of improving traffic conditions in specific zones. For instance, Avinash Kumar, formerly Additional SP in Kothagudem, will now oversee the Khairtabad and Secunderabad Zones as DCP (Traffic-I), Hyderabad.

The government's strategy is clear: inject fresh energy and innovative ideas into the traffic management system. By appointing these young officers, the administration aims to ensure the effective implementation of traffic solutions at the grassroots level. Additionally, the appointment of Abhishek Mohanty as Deputy Inspector General, Vigilance and Enforcement, underscores the government's commitment to curbing illegal activities like sand smuggling, protecting natural resources, and securing government revenue.
