Minister Savitha Promotes Hygiene for Student Success

In a refreshing take on student welfare, Minister for Backward Classes, EWS Welfare, Handlooms, and Textiles S Savitha emphasized the importance of personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness in the academic journey. Speaking at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Welfare Gurukula School in Mopidevi, she inaugurated the 'Mustabu' program, a comprehensive initiative to instill grooming and hygiene habits among students.

Minister Savitha's visit was an eye-opener, as she inspected the school's facilities, including mirrors, combs, and washbasins, ensuring students have the tools for daily self-care. Her interaction with the students was a highlight, discussing their studies, uniforms, and even tasting the school breakfast, offering feedback to improve the menu. This hands-on approach demonstrated her commitment to holistic student development. The Minister stressed that personal cleanliness is a foundation for self-confidence and mental strength, encouraging students to embrace a disciplined lifestyle.

The event also brought attention to the Chief Minister's vision for the Gurukulas, aiming to empower students from weaker sections through quality education, nutrition, and personality development. With the Mustabu program reaching nearly 70 lakh students across Andhra Pradesh, the government is taking significant strides in student welfare. The program's success was evident as BC Welfare Director Mallikarjuna affirmed that the Chief Minister has ordered its statewide implementation, recognizing the link between good health and academic excellence.

This initiative promises a brighter future for students, fostering not just academic prowess but also a sense of pride and well-being.
