Pakistan's ANF Cracks Down on Drug Trafficking, Seizing a Massive Haul

In a sweeping nationwide operation, Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to combating drug trafficking, arresting 15 suspects and confiscating a staggering 116.81 kilograms of various narcotics. This crackdown, spanning 11 strategically executed operations, has dealt a significant blow to the illicit drug trade, with the seized drugs valued at a substantial Rs138 million.

The ANF's spokesperson revealed that the recovered substances included a diverse range of narcotics, such as hashish, heroin, ice, opium, cocaine, and ecstasy pills. The operation's reach extended to multiple cities, including Sialkot, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Hyderabad, showcasing the force's comprehensive approach to disrupting drug networks.

One notable incident occurred in Lahore's Garden Town, where ANF officers intercepted two motorcyclists, seizing a substantial quantity of ecstasy pills and marijuana hidden in an electric fan heater. The suspects confessed to targeting students at educational institutions, underscoring the operation's importance in safeguarding the youth. Simultaneously, at Allama Iqbal International Airport, officers displayed vigilance by recovering cocaine and heroin capsules from passengers bound for Jeddah, including a creative concealment method involving stomach ingestion.

The ANF's efforts in Rawalpindi, Multan, and various other locations further contributed to the operation's success, with significant drug seizures and arrests. As the ANF continues its investigations, these coordinated actions send a powerful message to drug trafficking networks, demonstrating the authorities' resolve to protect public health and safety.
