The 77th Republic Day celebrations in Nellore were a vibrant display of patriotism and a testament to the city's ambitious growth plans. On Sunday, the Nellore Police Parade Grounds buzzed with activity as Collector Himanshu Shukla led the festivities, accompanied by Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajitha Vejendla. Nellore's economic strategy, as outlined by the Collector, is centred around large-scale industrial projects. The IFFCO-Kisan SEZ, spanning over 2,776 acres with an investment of 870 crore, is anticipated to create a substantial number of jobs, directly and indirectly impacting the local economy. Additionally, the KRIS City, part of the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, is poised to become a major investment hub, attracting 37,500 crore and offering employment opportunities to approximately 4.67 lakh individuals. The BPCL refinery project, with its massive investment of 96,862 crore, was highlighted as a game-changer for the district's industrial landscape.

As the celebrations concluded, the message was clear: Nellore is poised for a significant economic transformation, and its leaders are committed to fostering inclusive growth. With these ambitious projects on the horizon, the district is set to become a thriving hub, attracting investment and providing opportunities for its residents.
