In a brazen daylight robbery, a young businessman from Kerala became the victim of a violent crime in Hyderabad, leaving him injured and the city's police on high alert. The incident raises concerns about public safety and the potential risks associated with carrying large amounts of cash.
On Saturday morning, 26-year-old Rinshad P V, a cloth merchant, was shot in the leg by two armed assailants at an ATM in Koti. The robbers made off with Rs 6 lakh in cash, leaving Rinshad wounded and in a state of shock. This incident is a stark reminder of the dangers that lurk in urban areas, even during broad daylight. The victim, a resident of Nampally, Hyderabad, had come to the city with a substantial amount of cash to purchase wholesale stock. However, when the deal fell through, he decided to deposit the money in the bank, a decision that inadvertently led to the unfortunate incident.
As Rinshad approached the ATM, the robbers executed their plan swiftly. They fired two shots, one hitting Rinshad's leg, and grabbed the cash bag before making their escape on his bike. The entire episode unfolded rapidly, leaving the businessman injured and shaken. The suspects, still at large, were last seen changing clothes and fleeing on foot towards Kachiguda Cross Roads. Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar assured the public that the City Police are treating the matter with the utmost seriousness. They are analyzing CCTV footage, tracking technical evidence, and collaborating with nearby police units to capture the culprits swiftly.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of the need for heightened security and vigilance, especially when handling large sums of cash. As the police continue their search for the perpetrators, the public awaits justice and a safer environment for their daily transactions.
