In a significant development for the healthcare system in Nellore, the Venkatachalam Primary Health Center (PHC) has achieved a remarkable feat, securing a quality certification with an impressive score of 84.25% from the National Health Mission (NHM). This achievement has brought well-deserved recognition to the dedicated staff and the government's commitment to enhancing public healthcare services.

Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, impressed by this accomplishment, visited the PHC to felicitate the staff personally. He praised the PHC's efforts, stating that it is one of only two hospitals in Andhra Pradesh to receive such national-level acclaim for quality certification from the NHM. This certification is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the medical professionals at the PHC, who strive to provide excellent healthcare services to the community.

The MLA also highlighted the government's initiatives to improve healthcare infrastructure in the region. He mentioned the recent sanctioning of a 5-bed dialysis center in Podalakur mandal, made possible by the Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav's efforts. Furthermore, with corporate social responsibility funding, two additional beds were added to the center, ensuring quality treatment for residents of the seven surrounding mandals.

Looking ahead, MLA Reddy assured the public of his dedication to upgrading the Venkatachalam PHC from 20 to 50 beds in the near future.
