Massive Investment Boosts Rural Development in Nellore

In a significant development for the Nellore Rural constituency, a substantial 236 crore has been allocated for various infrastructure projects, marking a new era of progress and prosperity for the region. This announcement, made by MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, promises to transform the lives of residents, particularly in the backward areas that have long been neglected.

The primary focus of this ambitious plan is to address the critical issue of water scarcity. A 200-kilometer-long pipeline will be laid, ensuring that every merged village in the predominantly rural constituency has access to clean water. This initiative is a much-needed step towards eradicating the drinking water crisis that has plagued these areas for years. Additionally, the construction of water tanks in Parameswari Nagar, YSR Nagar, Akkacheruvupadu, and Ambapuram, valued at 125 crore, will further solidify the region's water infrastructure.

Furthermore, the project extends its reach to Nellore city, where an underground drainage system (UDS) will be installed. This 111 crore investment will cover a 51-kilometer stretch across six divisions, significantly improving sanitation and overall living conditions.

MLA Sridhar Reddy expressed his gratitude to the NDA government and its leaders, including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, for their swift response in sanctioning the funds. This development highlights a promising shift in political attention towards rural areas, which often lag in basic amenities. With these projects set to commence soon, Nellore Rural is poised to witness a remarkable transformation, potentially setting a precedent for other rural constituencies across the nation.
