Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a sweeping operation against drug trafficking, targeting areas surrounding educational institutions and various cities nationwide. In a recent statement, the ANF revealed the arrest of seven individuals across six strategic operations, confiscating a substantial 153.4 kilograms of narcotics, predominantly hashish, with an estimated street value exceeding Rs11.7 million.

The ANF's efforts focused on disrupting the supply chain near educational facilities. In Lyari, Karachi, officers apprehended a suspect carrying 7.7 kilograms of hashish close to a college. Similarly, in Hyderabad, a suspect was detained near a university with 2 kilograms of the same substance. Alarmingly, the ANF reported that these suspects confessed to peddling drugs to students, underscoring the critical need for heightened vigilance around educational zones.

The operation's scope extended to various cities. In Karachi, near the Northern Bypass, a vehicle search yielded a significant 120 kilograms of hashish, leading to the arrest of two individuals. Peshawar also witnessed a significant seizure of 18 kilograms of hashish and 1.3 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) from a vehicle, with one suspect taken into custody. These coordinated efforts demonstrate the ANF's commitment to tackling drug smuggling across Pakistan.
