APSRTC Gears Up for Religious and Cultural Celebrations

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure smooth and accessible travel for devotees during the upcoming Maha Sivarathri and the Pakala Beach Festival. With a comprehensive plan in place, the corporation aims to cater to the expected surge in passenger numbers, especially with the Stree Shakti scheme in effect.

On February 14 and 15, APSRTC will deploy an impressive fleet of 305 special buses across Prakasam, Markapuram, and Nellore districts, connecting devotees with major Saivite shrines. Srisailam, a prominent pilgrimage site, will witness the highest allocation of 140 buses, while other sacred destinations like Kotappakonda, Mogilicherla, and Bhairavakona will also receive dedicated services. The corporation has thoughtfully introduced direct buses from various depots, such as Kanigiri and Giddalur to Srisailam, ensuring convenience for travelers.

The Pakala Beach Festival, a cultural attraction, will also benefit from enhanced connectivity. Twelve special buses will initially operate from five different depots, including Kandukur and Ongole, with the promise of additional services based on demand. In Nellore, APSRTC's commitment is evident with 60 special buses and 30 connecting services scheduled from February 14 to 16, catering to temples like Jonnawada and Penchalakona. The Kandukur depot alone will manage 25 buses, showcasing the corporation's dedication to seamless operations.

"We have taken all necessary steps to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for our passengers during these festive occasions," said an APSRTC official. This proactive approach by the transport corporation reflects its dedication to serving the public and contributing to the success of these significant cultural and religious events.
