39 illegal liquor bottles seized near Pahadi Shareef

In Hyderabad, a major crackdown on illegal liquor smuggling was carried out by a joint team of the Special Task Force and the Hyderabad Airport Police on Saturday, March 21.
The operation took place near Pahadi Shareef during a routine vehicle inspection. Officials intercepted a suspicious vehicle and, upon searching it, recovered 39 bottles of illegal liquor.
According to preliminary findings, the liquor was being transported from Delhi and Goa into the city, likely for unauthorized sale. Such activities not only violate excise laws but also result in significant revenue loss for the government.
The seized liquor bottles have been handed over to the Meerpet Excise Station for further investigation. Authorities are now working to trace the smuggling network and identify those involved in the operation.
Police officials stated that regular checking drives will continue across the city to curb illegal activities. This action highlights the administration’s vigilance and commitment to maintaining law and order.
